HRK LUNIS and Eyb & Wallwitz join forces: Norton Rose Fulbright advises HRKL GmbH & Co. KG on the acquisition of a majority stake in Eyb & Wallwitz Vermögensmanagement GmbH

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised the HRKL Group on the acquisition of a majority stake in Eyb & Wallwitz Vermögensmanagement GmbH.

As part of the transaction, independent asset managers HRK LUNIS AG and Eyb & Wallwitz Vermögensmanagement GmbH will join forces under the umbrella of the joint holding company HRKL GmbH & Co. KG. With approximately €11 billion in assets under management, the combination creates one of the leading independent wealth management groups in the German-speaking market.

The firms will continue to operate under their established brands, proven investment strategies and successful market positions while benefiting from their complementary strengths. The new group combines extensive expertise in serving high-net-worth private clients and institutional investors across wealth management and asset management.

While HRK LUNIS is particularly focused on advising sophisticated private clients, entrepreneurial families and institutional investors, as well as providing family office services and private markets solutions, Eyb & Wallwitz contributes its asset management expertise, tailored institutional mandates and its award-winning Phaidros funds to the partnership.

The new structure will create additional growth opportunities and provide a platform for further product development and the expansion into new client segments. In addition to private equity investor Seven2 and the existing shareholders of HRK Lunis, Dr Georg von Wallwitz and Olivier Kuetgens will become shareholders in the holding company, underlining both firms' commitment to a long-term strategic partnership. Completion of the transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Lead partner Frank Henkel , Corporate/M&A, Munich, commented:

"The combination of HRK LUNIS and Eyb & Wallwitz creates one of the leading independent wealth management groups in the German-speaking market. The transaction brings together two highly successful businesses with complementary business models and provides a strong platform for the continued growth and development of both firms. We are delighted to have supported HRK LUNIS on this strategically significant transaction."
