SR-78/I-15 Connectors Closed April 7 and 8

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans will close multiple Interstate 15 (I-15) and State Route 78 (SR-78) connectors for roadwork on Tuesday, April 7, and Wednesday, April 8.

  • Northbound I-15 to westbound SR-78 will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
    Motorists may continue north on I-15 and exit on W El Norte Parkway, turn right, and proceed to N Broadway and turn onto westbound SR-78.
  • Southbound I-15 to westbound SR-78 will close from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
    Motorists may continue south on I-15 and exit at W Valley Parkway, turn left to proceed to N Broadway, and turn onto westbound SR-78.

The connectors from eastbound SR-78 to northbound I-15 will close from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., and eastbound SR-78 to southbound I-15 will close from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Eastbound SR-78 to I-15 motorists may continue eastbound on SR-78, exit Center City Parkway, and proceed onto the Center City Parkway on-ramp to westbound SR-78. Continue to the I-15 connectors on-ramp.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
