The City's Park & Recreation Department, in partnership with Street Soccer USA, welcomed the community on Saturday, March 28, to celebrate the grand opening of the new street soccer field at Hillside Park. The event marked the official debut of the Bank of America Fields at Visa Street Soccer Park.
Made possible through a collaborative effort with Visa, Street Soccer USA and support from Bank of America, the project transformed an underused tennis court into a dedicated street soccer field featuring artificial turf and built-in goals. The space will host organized programming while remaining open for free play when not in use.
The grand-opening celebration drew residents, community partners and local leaders for an afternoon of activities. Attendees enjoyed a variety of soccer-centered activities, including an inaugural youth match, skills clinics and open play opportunities.
With programming led by Street Soccer USA, the new field is expected to serve as a hub for youth development, mentorship and community engagement.
