Fairfield Hosts California Enterprise Permitting & Licensing User Group Meeting

On September 17, the City of Fairfield's Information Technology Department hosted the California Enterprise Permitting & Licensing (EPL) User Group Meeting, bringing together more than 40 representatives from approximately 12 California municipalities that use Tyler Technologies' EnerGov/EPL permitting and licensing platform.

Held at the Art Koch Range & Training Facility, the meeting brought together agencies from across the state, with participating organizations ranging from Yuba County in Northern California to the City of Costa Mesa in Southern California.

The meeting provided an opportunity for local government agencies to share experiences, discuss common challenges, and learn about the latest developments in the EnerGov/EPL platform. Tyler Technologies application experts led discussions and demonstrations on topics including artificial intelligence, Civic Access, data migration, product direction, and best practices.

City Manager David Gassaway opened the event by welcoming representatives from participating agencies. Throughout the day, attendees shared solutions to common challenges and discussed ways to improve their use of the platform.

A key benefit of the meeting was the opportunity for Fairfield staff and participating agencies to build relationships and establish a peer network for ongoing support and knowledge sharing. In addition to connecting with Tyler Technologies staff and product experts, participants exchanged practical experiences with other public agencies using the same technology.

The event also provided insight into Tyler Technologies' anticipated three-year product roadmap and gave participating agencies an opportunity to provide direct feedback to Tyler representatives.

The strong response to the meeting has already generated interest in Fairfield hosting the user group again next year, highlighting the value of collaboration and knowledge sharing among local governments using enterprise permitting and licensing technology.
