UNIQLO Partners with The New York Public Library to Celebrate Community, Creativity, and Access
Apr 03, 2026 NEWS
New York City has always been a source of inspiration for UNIQLO-its creativity, diversity, and everyday energy shape how people live, work, and express themselves. This spring, as UNIQLO opens three new stores across the city, we're proud to launch a year-long partnership with The New York Public Library (NYPL), one of New York's most iconic and accessible cultural institutions.
Launching alongside the recent opening of our UNIQLO Bryant Park, Williamsburg and Union Square stores, the partnership reflects a shared belief that access to knowledge, creativity, and opportunity should be free and open to all.
Supporting Culture That's Open to Everyone
For more than a century, The New York Public Library has provided New Yorkers with free access to books, learning, and cultural programming. Through this partnership, UNIQLO is supporting NYPL's cultural and youth-focused programs that help keep these experiences accessible throughout the year.
A key part of this collaboration is UNIQLO's support of The Library After Hours, NYPL's beloved evening event series held at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building on Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street. Hosted three times a year, the program transforms the historic space with curated entertainment, food and drinks, and behind-the-scenes access to the library's collections.
Later this year, UNIQLO will also support The Library After Hours: Teen Takeover, held at NYPL's Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library (SNFL) in Midtown-an investment in programming designed specifically for young people across the city, creating space for creative exploration, skill building, and self-expression.
Exclusive NYPL x UNIQLO Designs at Bryant Park
To mark the launch of the partnership, customers visiting UNIQLO Bryant Park will find exclusive NYPL x UNIQLO UTme! and embroidery designs. The artwork pays tribute to one of the library's most recognizable symbols-the library card-celebrating the idea that knowledge belongs to everyone.
As UNIQLO continues to grow in New York City, this partnership with The New York Public Library reflects our commitment to supporting the cultural spaces that bring people together-and to creating clothing, experiences, and connections that are truly made for all.
