Museums in Beijing to Remain Open on Monday During Qingming Festival Holiday

During the Qingming Festival holiday, many museums in Beijing will remain open on Monday (April 6), giving visitors the opportunity to explore cultural venues during the holiday.

National Museum of China

Open from 9:00 to 17:00.

Free admission tickets can be reserved through the National Museum of China's official website, WeChat mini-program, or WeChat service account. Visitors should enter according to their reserved time slots.

The Palace Museum

Closing time: 17:00

Admission to the Treasure Gallery and the Gallery of Clocks ends at 16:10.

Natural History Museum of China

Open from 9:00 to 17:00.

Real-name reservations are required for all visitors.

China National Film Museum

Open from 9:00 to 20:00.

Screenings follow the daily schedule. Detailed information is available via the "Film News" (影讯) section of the museum's official WeChat account.

China Customs Museum

Open from 9:00 to 16:30.
Visitors can enter with valid identification; no reservation is required.

China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum and China National Arts and Crafts Museum

Open from 9:00 to 17:00.

Time-slot reservations with real-name registration are required.

Chinese Archaeological Museum

Open from 9:00 to 16:30.

Advance reservations are required via the official WeChat account of the Chinese Archaeological Museum.

Beijing Lu Xun Museum

Open from 9:00 to 17:00.

No reservation is required. Visitors may enter by swiping their Resident ID card or Beijing Pass - Senior/Disability Card (养老助残卡) at the entrance.

Those holding other valid forms of identification (such as military ID, passport, or driver's license) or visitors without valid ID cards may complete on-site identity verification and enter with a verification code.

The following museums will also be open on April 6: China Agricultural Museum, Capital Museum, Prince Kung's Palace Museum, Beijing Archaeological Site Museum (including Beijing Dabaotai Xi Han Dynasty Tomb Museum and the Water Gate Ruin of Zhongdu of Jin Dynasty), Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum, Beijing Auto Museum, Beijing Art Museum, and Beijing Stone Carving Art Museum.

Reminder: Some museums may already be fully booked during the holiday. Visitors are advised to check reservation availability and entry requirements in advance and plan their itineraries accordingly.
