A three-day AI summit at Minnesota State Moorhead will explore applications of artificial intelligence in business and education as well as provide first-hand experience for high school students using the latest tools.
The AI Innovation Summit, Oct. 27-29 at Moorhead's Comstock Memorial Union, features speakers from Minnesota State Moorhead, ABM Technology Group, PAX8, area K-12 districts, and more.
"The AI Innovation Summit is set to energize businesses, educators, and students with a thrilling exploration of artificial intelligence, unveiling powerful tools and breakthrough ideas that can revolutionize the way we work, learn, and achieve success," said Abby Hanson, vice president of Microsoft and AI at ABM Technology Group, which is partnering with Minnesota State Moorhead to host the events.
The first day, Leading Business in the Age of AI on Oct. 27, focuses on industry, with topics like agentic AI, ethics and bias mitigation, data governance and security, and return on investment.
Learning in the Age of AI on Oct. 28 is a summit for educators, with a keynote by Sean Beaverson of the Minnesota Education Generative AI Alliance for Education (MNGAIA) and breakout sessions on topics such as pedagogy, critical AI literacy, innovative teaching and practical frameworks for evaluating AI tools.

On Oct. 29, high school students from around the region are invited to the AI High School Challenge to learn from faculty and industry experts and then compete as teams to solve real community problems using AI.
