Volunteers Needed for Senior Holiday Program

The Charles County Department of Community Services, Aging Division, is seeking volunteers for its annual Christmas Connection "Adopt-a-Senior" program, which provides holiday food baskets and gifts to seniors in need throughout Charles County. Last year, the program helped spread holiday cheer by providing food baskets to 150 seniors.

Individuals, families, and organizations are encouraged to participate by preparing and delivering a holiday food basket and a small personal gift to an assigned senior. Volunteers will receive their Adopt-a-Senior assignments beginning Dec. 1, 2026. Baskets will be delivered during the week beginning Dec. 14, 2026. Further details will be provided regarding the delivery method.
