CSG to supply ammunition worth CZK7.3bn to European customer

Prague, April 16 (CTK) - Czechoslovak Group (CSG), an arms and engineering group owned by entrepreneur Michal Strnad, has secured a contract to supply large-calibre ammunition for a European customer, and the total value of the contract is nearly EUR300m (CZK7.3bn), the group said in a press release today.

The current contract for a European customer follows other major deals in this area, the company said. Earlier this year, the group, through Excalibur International, signed a contract to supply tens of thousands of artillery and mortar ammunition rounds worth hundreds of millions of euros to a NATO member country

The company said today that, for security reasons and due to the sensitivity of the project, it will not disclose any further details about the customer or the specific scope of the current deliveries.

"This contract is further evidence of our partners' trust in the quality and reliability of CSG's products. Our strategy to systematically strengthen our manufacturing, development and technological capabilities enables us to rapidly respond to the demands of our customers in Europe and globally, allowing them to confidently address the security challenges they face," CSG Defence division head Jan Marinov said.

Czechoslovak Group is among the most significant European producers and suppliers of large-calibre ammunition. A key role in this area is played by its subsidiary MSM Group, which brings together leading manufacturing companies in Europe and ensures the production of ammunition meeting NATO standards.
