SGMC Health Welcomes Candito as Supply Chain Director

SGMC Health announced the appointment of John Nicholas Candito as Director of Supply Chain Services, bringing more than two decades of progressive leadership experience across healthcare, manufacturing, and defense industries to the organization.

In this role, Candito will oversee systemwide Supply Chain operations, including strategic sourcing, logistics, inventory management, vendor partnerships, and continuous improvement initiatives. His leadership will support SGMC Health's focus on operational excellence, financial stewardship, and reliable access to critical supplies that support patient care.

Candito brings extensive healthcare and industrial Supply Chain leadership experience, most recently serving as Head of Supply Chain and Warehousing for a local Industrial Manufacturing business in Valdosta, where he led large-scale logistics operations, workforce planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Previously, he held senior Supply Chain leadership roles with Onvida Health and Banner Health, overseeing significant annual spend, driving world-class inventory performance, and supporting complex academic medical centers through partnerships with physician leaders, with earlier experience in highly regulated environments including Aerospace and Defense.

John holds a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management from the University of San Diego - where he graduated as Valedictorian, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Arizona. Candito is an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He is also a frequent national conference speaker and published author on healthcare Supply Chain innovation.
