Official Visit by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan to Ottawa, Canada, 17 to 18 September 2026
Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will make an Official Visit to Ottawa, Canada, from 17 to 18 September 2026, at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Anita Anand.
Minister Balakrishnan's visit builds on a series of high-level exchanges and demonstrates both countries' commitment to deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as emerging technologies, energy and food security, two-way investment, and supply chain resilience.
Minister Balakrishnan will meet and be hosted to lunch by Minister Anand. Minister Balakrishnan will also meet Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario Evan Solomon, and engage Canadian academics, business leaders, and officials.
Minister Balakrishnan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
