Epson Returns as a Contributing Sponsor of the 64th New York Film Festival and Powers Year-Round Screenings, Presentations and Events at Film at Lincoln Center

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. - Sept. 9, 2026 - As the 64th New York Film Festival (NYFF64) prepares to welcome acclaimed filmmakers, emerging talent and cinema enthusiasts from around the world, Epson today announced its continued support of Film at Lincoln Center (FLC) as a Contributing Sponsor of NYFF64. Additionally, over the last year, Epson's premium Q-Series high-lumen 4K1 HDR laser projection technology has helped power filmmaker talks, presentations and special events. Installed in the Amphitheater at FLC's Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center , Epson's QL7000 projector has been the primary display solution for one of FLC's most versatile venues, supporting everything from filmmaker Q&As and master classes to industry presentations and programming with top-quality 4K HDR performance, exceptional brightness, color accuracy, and quiet operation.

"Every event at Film at Lincoln Center is designed to deliver an exceptional experience for audiences," said Jeff Delauter, vice president of operations, Film at Lincoln Center. "Whether we're hosting a filmmaker conversation, an educational program or welcoming guests during the New York Film Festival, Epson's projection technology gives us the flexibility and image quality to present every story at its very best."

The 75-seat amphitheater serves as a hub for conversations with filmmakers, educational programming and professional presentations throughout the year, while playing an increasingly important role during the annual New York Film Festival. Replacing a legacy flat-panel display with Epson's projection technology transformed the space into a more immersive viewing environment capable of delivering brilliant images across a wide range of ambient lighting conditions.

"Projection creates a much more natural viewing experience than a direct-view display," said Greg Sherman, chief projectionist, Film at Lincoln Center. "The QL7000 gives us the brightness, flexibility and remote management we need while remaining remarkably quiet, something that's incredibly important in an intimate venue where audiences are focused on the conversation as much as what's on screen."

This year's festival underscores why versatile, high-quality presentation matters across FLC's venues. NYFF64 opens Sept. 25 with the North American premiere of James Gray's New York thriller "Paper Tiger," starring Adam Driver, Miles Teller and Scarlett Johansson. Tony Gilroy's "Behemoth!," featuring Pedro Pascal, takes the Centerpiece slot with a world premiere on Oct. 2, and the world premiere of Ava DuVernay's documentary "14th" closes the festival on Oct. 9. The Main Slate spans more than 30 films from directors including Pedro Almodóvar, Hong Sangsoo, Mike Leigh, Ira Sachs, and Lee Chang-dong, alongside a Spotlight Gala world premiere of Takashi Yamazaki's "Godzilla Minus Zero," each demanding the kind of image fidelity that surrounding events and presentations at the film center are built to match.

Beyond the technology installation in the amphitheater, Epson's continued sponsorship of NYFF reflects the company's ongoing investment in the creative community and its commitment to helping filmmakers share their stories through exceptional visual experiences.

"Film at Lincoln Center has long been one of the most respected destinations for filmmakers and film lovers, and we're proud to continue supporting that mission as a Contributing Sponsor of NYFF64," said Rodrigo Catalan, group product manager, Epson America, Inc. "From year-round filmmaker events to one of the world's premier film festivals, we're honored that Epson technology helps create memorable experiences for audiences while giving creators the confidence that every image is presented with outstanding quality."
