On 24th February, the 'One Voice for Ukraine' event marked four years of resilience, bravery and strength. Ambassadors from all continents, and leaders from the arts, film and media stood together in solidarity and reaffirmed their support for the people of Ukraine in their fight against Russia's aggression.
EU Delegation to Singapore
Jointly organised by the EU Delegation to Singapore and the Embassy of Ukraine, the event which included introductory remarks by Ambassadors Kateryna Zelenko and Artis Bertulis, featured the screening of the multiple award-winning documentary Night Shift.
This was followed by a post-show dialogue with Kyiv-based Singaporean journalist & filmmaker Megumi Lim and Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Thomas Peter, Singapore Film Society Chairman Kenneth Tan, moderated by Vice-Chair of the Singapore Press Club, Zakir Hussain.
The event presented in partnership with the Singapore Press Club and the Singapore Film Society offered a moment of collective reflection on the role of journalism, photography and documentary in times of conflict.
To connect with broader audiences and enhance awareness, the Embassy of France and the Embassy of Sweden did online collaborations with the EU.
Singapore's Chinese-language newspaper Shin Min Daily News reported on the event.
