Defendant Identified by ICAC Taskforce Pleads to Child Sexual Assault

On August 28, 2026, Demetrius Davis pled no contest to 12 counts of lewd act upon a child and admitted to allegations that he victimized multiple victims who were under the age of 14.

The Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Taskforce received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Their investigation led them to Demetrius Davis, who created a fake online persona using content he had procured from one of his victims. Davis used that account to victimize over 80 children ranging from ages 6-13 in multiple locations around the country and in other parts of the world. Davis pressured, coaxed, and manipulated the children into performing sexual acts on themselves and others while filming or photographing the acts of abuse at Davis's request.

Under the plea agreement, Davis will be sentenced to 300 years to life in prison. Sentencing is set for October 16, 2026, at 8:30 AM in Department 62 before the Honorable Shauna Franklin.
