Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs meets with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Thailand

On 26 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Thailand.
Both sides followed up on outcomes of the 9th Session of the Thai-Russian Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation (JC), convened on 14 August 2026 in Moscow, in which H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand co-chaired with H.E. Mr. Aleksey Chekunkov, Minister for the Development of the Far East and Arctic of Russia.
The Vice Minister and the Ambassador also discussed preparations for the commemoration of the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Russia in 2027.
