Dentons advises CGI on the acquisition of Comarch Polska

Global law firm Dentons has advised CGI, one of the world's largest independent IT and business consulting services firms, on entering into an agreement to acquire Comarch Polska, a subsidiary of Comarch and a leading IT company in Poland specializing in solutions for public administration. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

The acquisition will accelerate CGI's expansion in Poland and strengthen its presence in the public sector. Upon completion, more than 460 professionals will join CGI, bringing the total number of professionals in Poland and the Baltic States to approximately 1,500.

Dentons provided CGI with comprehensive legal and tax advisory services for the transaction. The Warsaw-based team was led by partner Michał Wasiak and included counsel Bartosz Juszczak and associate Martyna Oziembała from the Mergers and Acquisitions practice group. Partner Cezary Przygodzki, senior associate Damian Bugaj, and associate Łukasz Kopeć advised on tax matters, while counsel Maciej Marek and associate Maciej Gardzielik provided competition law advice.
