Gosar Recognized as a Champion of Limited Government
I'm proud to share that this week, I was recognized as a "Champion of Limited Government" in the 2026 Limited Government Index released by the Institute for Legislative Analysis.
This comprehensive index evaluates every Member of Congress across hundreds of key votes and tens of thousands of data points, measuring how consistently we uphold limited government, individual liberty, and fiscal responsibility. Earning this recognition reflects my continued commitment to opposing bloated spending, pushing back against federal overreach, and defending the Constitution.
At a time when Washington, D.C. continues to grow larger and more intrusive, I remain focused on doing exactly what I was sent here to do: fight for smaller government and greater freedom.
I encourage you to take a closer look at the full rankings to see where I stand-and how other members compare.
Near-Perfect Conservative Score: Fighting for You Every Day
I'm also proud to report that the latest Heritage Action Scorecard has been released-and once again, I earned a near-perfect score for standing firm on conservative principles.
The Heritage Action scorecard is widely regarded as a leading measure of how consistently Members of Congress vote on key conservative priorities, tracking critical legislation and holding lawmakers accountable.
This strong rating reflects my commitment to:
From fighting bloated federal spending packages to opposing policies that expand Washington's control over your daily lives, I have consistently voted to put Arizona-and America-first.
I encourage you to review my full scorecard and see how these key votes compare with other members of Congress.
Standing Up for Rural Arizona's Health Care Needs
As the representative for one of the most rural districts in the country, I understand firsthand that access to health care isn't a talking point-it's a daily challenge. Many communities across rural Arizona face long travel distances, provider shortages, and limited infrastructure making even basic care difficult to obtain.
That's why this week I voted in favor of H.R. 2493, the Improving Care in Rural America Reauthorization Act, which passed overwhelmingly with bipartisan support. While I remain cautious about expanding federal programs without strong accountability, this legislation provides targeted, temporary support to help rural providers coordinate care, strengthen local networks, and better serve underserved populations.
For many of my constituents, these programs can mean the difference between receiving care close to home or going without it altogether.
I will continue pushing for transparency and measurable outcomes, but ensuring rural communities are not left behind remains a priority.
A Two-tiered Justice System Exposed
A newly released Department of Justice report confirms what many of us have long warned: the Biden Administration weaponized federal law to target pro-life Americans while turning a blind eye to violence against them.
According to the report, the FACE Act-originally intended to protect both abortion facilities and religious institutions-was selectively enforced against peaceful pro-life advocates, while attacks on pregnancy centers and churches were largely ignored.
Even more troubling, the report details coordination between federal prosecutors and pro-abortion groups to build cases against pro-life individuals, along with evidence of prosecutorial misconduct, harsher penalties for pro-life defendants, and a clear pattern of bias in enforcement.
This is not equal justice under the law-it is a political double standard.
As a pro-life member of Congress, I find this deeply disturbing. No American should be targeted by their own government for standing up for the unborn or living out their faith.
We must restore accountability, protect religious liberty, and ensure that federal power is never again used to silence or punish Americans for their beliefs.
Gosar Sponsors Bill to End the H-1B Job Displacement Scam
This week, I proudly co-sponsored legislation to overhaul and pause the H-1B visa program, which for too long has been abused at the expense of American workers.
What was intended to fill legitimate skill gaps has instead been twisted into a tool for outsourcing and wage suppression, with qualified Americans pushed aside in favor of lower-cost foreign labor.
The H-1B program has been hijacked to replace American workers with cheaper labor-plain and simple.
This legislation puts a stop to that by pausing new H-1B visas and advancing reforms that require employers to prioritize American workers, protect wages, and restore integrity to the program.
If a company can hire an American, they should-no loopholes, no excuses.
I will continue fighting for policies that defend our workforce, strengthen our economy, and put American workers first.
No Amnesty. No Shortcuts. Uphold the Rule of Law.
I've heard from hundreds of constituents regarding the DIGNITY Act of 2025, and I want to take the time to respond clearly.
I've reviewed legislation and I oppose it.
While it is being marketed as "reform," the core function of this bill is to grant legal status to millions of individuals who entered or remained in the United States illegally-amnesty in all but name.
Supporters argue it stops short of citizenship, but that distinction is misleading. Once legal status is granted, a pathway to permanent residence-and ultimately citizenship-inevitably follows.
Citizenship in the United States is something to be earned through lawful process, not handed out to those who bypassed it. Rewarding illegal entry undermines those who followed the rules and weakens respect for the rule of law.
We have seen this before. Amnesty paired with promises of future enforcement has consistently failed, encouraging more illegal immigration rather than deterring it. Arbitrary cutoff dates do not solve the problem-they perpetuate it.
The United States is a nation of laws, and any serious immigration reform must begin with enforcement, deportation and deterrence-not retroactive legalization.
No amount of secondary provisions can justify granting sweeping amnesty. I will not support legislation that rewards unlawful behavior and erodes the integrity of our immigration system.
Honoring Those Who Served: Support Honor Flight Arizona
Our nation owes a profound debt of gratitude to the men and women who wore the uniform in defense of our freedoms. One extraordinary organization ensuring that debt is never forgotten is Honor Flight Arizona.
Through their dedicated, grassroots efforts, Honor Flight Arizona provides our veterans-at no cost-with the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor. For many, this is a deeply meaningful and long-overdue experience, especially for our Vietnam veterans who too often returned home without the recognition they deserved.
Their next mission will take place May 18-20, when another group of American heroes will make the journey to our nation's capital. These trips are more than visits-they are a long-overdue "welcome home," a moment of reflection, and a powerful reminder that their service will never be forgotten.
Unfortunately, too many veterans are still unaware of this opportunity, or they humbly believe they are not deserving of such recognition. That could not be further from the truth. Every veteran has earned this honor.
To learn more about this incredible organization, visit Honor Flight Arizona to follow upcoming missions, sign up a veteran, or volunteer as a guardian to ensure these trips remain free of charge. Increased awareness means more veterans can experience the gratitude of a nation they so faithfully served.
Let us do our part to ensure that no veteran is forgotten-and that every hero receives the recognition they have long deserved.
