Requesting Input for Proposed Noncompetitive Sale to

Public and Charitable Use Applicant - ADL 422799

AS 38.05.810

Comment Period Ends 4:30 PM, Tuesday, September 1, 2026

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW) is conducting a public notice for a noncompetitive land sale located approximately seven miles southwest of Ester, in the Fairbanks North Star Borough. The legal description for the parcel is Tract D, Alaska State Land Survey 80-118, Rosie Creek Subdivision, according to the plat filed in the Fairbanks Recording District on April 22, 1981, as Plat No. 81-66, AND Tract E, Alaska State Land Survey 80-118, Rosie Creek Subdivision, according to the plat filed in the Fairbanks Recording District on April 22, 1981, as Plat 81-66, EXCEPTING the NW1/4NW1/4 of Section 1, T2S R3W F.M., Alaska according to ASLS 80-118, aggregating 220 acres, more or less.

Pursuant to AS 38.05.945 Notice, the public is invited to submit comments on the Preliminary Decision. The deadline for public comment is 4:30 PM, Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Only persons from whom DNR DMLW receives timely, written comment during the identified comment period will be eligible to file an appeal of the Final Finding and Decision (FFD).
