All available resources deployed to tackle 23 active wildfires

The Government of the Republic of Serbia announced that, according to a report submitted by relevant institutions and bodies to the Operational Team of the Emergency Response Team, 23 open-space fires are currently active across Serbia, with all available personnel and equipment deployed to the affected locations.

The Operational Team, comprising Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, line ministers and representatives from relevant ministries and other state bodies, expressed its gratitude to everyone working around the clock to extinguish the active fires, demonstrating exceptional commitment to protecting human lives and citizens' property.

Fires are currently active in the areas of Sremska Mitrovica, Kraljevo, Leskovac, Prijepolje, Belgrade, Šabac, Prokuplje, Bor, Pančevo and Zaječar.

Relevant institutions are also taking further measures to prevent the impact of adverse weather conditions, in line with weather forecasts. The situation regarding water supply, water and air quality, river levels and electricity supply is being continuously monitored.
