Lincoln City Golf Announces 2025-2026 Capital Improvement Projects

Lincoln City Golf today announced $2.3 million in Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) scheduled for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Capital Improvements Projects are designated improvements to municipal golf courses identified within the CIP 10 Year Plan.

Funds for CIP projects come from surcharge fees added to the price of golf at all courses. For the 2025-2026 fiscal year, a total of $2.25 will be added to the fees at 18-hole courses, and $1.25 added to the fee at the nine-hole course. The surcharges are attributed to two project groups:

  • A general CIP surcharge adds $1.25 to all 18-hole green fees and $.75 to the nine-hole green fee.
  • A Pioneers Course irrigation project surcharge adds $1 to the 18-hole green fees and $.50 to the nine-hole green fee.

Wade Foreman, Lincoln City Golf Coordinator, said a $400,000 cart path project at Pioneers Golf Course is expected to begin in late October. A $1.9 million irrigation project at Holmes Park Golf Course is underway and expected to be completed spring 2026.

Foreman said the Holmes course irrigation system is 40 years old, and the tile pipe is at least 10 years overdue for replacement. The new system will use high-density polyethylene pipe, which is expected to last 60 years.

"Completing two major improvement projects will set up the courses for long term success," Foreman said.

Lincoln City Golf operates five municipal golf courses including four 18-hole courses and one nine-hole course:

  • Highlands Golf Course, 5501 NW. 12th St., 402-441-6081
  • Holmes Park Golf Course, 3701 S. 70th, 402-441-8960
  • Mahoney Golf Course, 7900 Adams St., 402-441-8969
  • Pioneers Golf Course, 3403 W. Van Dorn St., 402-441-8966
  • Jim Ager Golf Course, nine-hole, par three, 3761 Normal Blvd., 402-441-8963
