COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Securities announces that Bradley Konerman, 40, of Mason, and Adam Salon, 48, of Toledo, plead guilty today in a case in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court to one felony count each of the sale of an unregistered security.
Konerman was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended, pending the successful completion of one year of probation. Salon was sentenced to 18 months in prison, which was also suspended pending the successful completion of one year of probation. Both defendants were ordered to pay $70,000 for total restitution of $140,000 to the victim in this case.
Both men were previously indicted for allegedly conducting fraudulent securities transactions in Hamilton County.
The case is the result of a multi-year investigation led by the Division of Securities in partnership with the Ohio Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigation. Deputy Attorney Inspector Harvey McCleskey led the investigation for the Division of Securities, meanwhile the prosecution is being led by Principle Assistant Attorney General Dan Kasaris and Assistant Attorney General Drew Wood.
"Today's pleas are another reminder of why the Division's work matters so deeply to Ohio investors. Each individual held accountable brings us one step closer to restoring trust, delivering justice, and securing financial recovery for victims through court-ordered restitution," said Ohio Securities Commissioner Andrea Seidt. "These cases are rarely simple, but our enforcement staff and prosecution partners continue to push forward with precision and determination. Their commitment ensures that no matter how complex the scheme, wrongdoers cannot outrun the truth."
