Higgins Urges Federal Investigation Into Los Angeles Election Fraud Allegations, Calls for Funding Freeze

LAFAYETTE, LA - Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) sent a letter today to President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance urging the administration to launch a federal investigation into alleged election fraud in Los Angeles County and calling for a pause on all federal funding to the city until the investigation is complete. Read the letter here.

The letter cites reports that LA County Republicans have received mail-in ballot rejection letters over signature issues, and that U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli is probing suspected fraud, an investigation complicated by the state's vote-by-mail system, ballot harvesting, and delayed counting.

Higgins wrote: "As the Department of Justice (DOJ) continues to investigate alleged election fraud in California, I urge your administration to pause all federal funding to Los Angeles, including federal projects and grants, until the investigation is complete,"

"States that purposefully compromise our election process should not have unrestricted access to American treasure," Higgins added. "I will use the full authority of my office to protect the American people."
