North­west Flori­da Beach­es Inter­na­tion­al Air­port to Cease Com­mer­cial Oper­a­tions at 1 p.m. CST on Fri­day, Octo­ber 9

North­west Flori­da Beach­es Inter­na­tion­al Air­port (ECP) will cease com­mer­cial oper­a­tions begin­ning at 1 p.m. CST today, Fri­day, Octo­ber 9, as we con­tin­ue to mon­i­tor Hur­ri­cane Isa­ias and its poten­tial impacts to our Region.

The Air­port Ter­mi­nal will remain open; how­ev­er, the Ter­mi­nal is not oper­at­ing as a pub­lic shel­ter. We encour­age res­i­dents and vis­i­tors seek­ing shel­ter to fol­low guid­ance from local emer­gency man­age­ment offi­cials regard­ing des­ig­nat­ed shel­ter locations.

Pas­sen­gers with sched­uled trav­el should check direct­ly with their air­line for the lat­est flight information.

The safe­ty of our pas­sen­gers, air­line part­ners and Air­port per­son­nel remains our high­est pri­or­i­ty. Our team will con­tin­ue mon­i­tor­ing con­di­tions in coor­di­na­tion with our local, state, fed­er­al and air­line part­ners, and we will share addi­tion­al updates regard­ing Air­port oper­a­tions as infor­ma­tion becomes available.
