Two Dutch Chinook transport helicopters were deployed from 15 to 21 August to help extinguish a wildfire in the Belgian High Fens nature reserve. They dropped water using Bambi Buckets, flexible water bags.

In total, the two helicopters released almost 1.1 million litres of water on the fire. As the situation in the area improved, Defence's assistance was no longer needed.
