Celebrating Monica Stadtler’s 24 Years of Service to ASPPH

After an extraordinary 24 years of service, Monica Stadtler, Director of Applied Learning and Training, retired from ASPPH on August 13. For more than two decades, Monica has been an important part of ASPPH's work and community, helping to advance the organization's applied learning and training programs with dedication, expertise, and a deep commitment to its mission. Through her leadership, she has helped shape meaningful experiences for countless ASPPH fellows and learners while building strong and lasting relationships with colleagues, members, and partners across the academic public health community.

Monica's impact can be seen not only in the programs she has helped lead, but also in the professionalism, integrity, and care she has brought to her work throughout her career. Her contributions have strengthened ASPPH and left a meaningful legacy within the broader public health community.

As Monica begins this well-earned new chapter, we celebrate all that she has accomplished and the many ways she has contributed to ASPPH over the past 24 years. We hope retirement brings her plenty of time with family, new adventures, and many opportunities to enjoy the things that matter most to her.

"What I'll remember most is the people," Stadtler said. "The colleagues who became true friends, the partners I've had the honor of working alongside for so many years, and the fellows. Watching so many talented, passionate young people come through our programs and go on to do such incredible things in public health has been the greatest joy of my career. I still can't believe I got to play a small part of that."
