President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with members of the Public Council

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the members of the Public Council.

The President emphasized the important role of the Public Council as a constitutional body and a vital link between the government and society. President Khachaturyan noted that the activities of the Council should aim to strengthen public solidarity and civic dialogue - something, that is especially needed in society today.

Ara Khzmalyan, Chairman of the Public Council, presented the work carried out since the Council's formation, as well as current programs and initiatives, highlighting the Council's role in identifying issues in various fields and conveying public assessments to the system of state governance.

During the meeting, Council members shared their observations and concerns regarding the existing realities in environmental protection, civil rights, healthcare, combating misinformation, and other areas.

The discussion touched upon the need to coordinate state and public efforts aimed at environmental protection, the protection of civil rights and enhancement of legal awareness, the modernization of the healthcare system, and the importance of spreading accurate and reliable information within the information environment.

During the conversation, the significance of the Public Council was underscored as an active body in shaping public opinion and contributing to the development of public policy. The importance of continuous cooperation and effective communication was also highlighted - with the goal of bringing the concerns and proposals of various segments of society onto the state agenda and promoting the protection of the common good.
