The City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for a high-energy start to the summer with Mayfest, a special event designed exclusively for teens ages 13-18. The celebration will take place Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gunter Pool, located at 2390 Cong. W. L. Dickinson Drive.
For a $3 cash-only cover charge, attendees will enjoy a full day of entertainment, including a live DJ, games, swimming and water activities, refreshments, and several surprise attractions planned throughout the event. The department aims to create a safe, vibrant, and memorable experience as teens kick off the summer season.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere, Parks and Recreation officials have announced the following entry and dress-code requirements for pool access:
Guests are encouraged to bring towels, sunscreen, and plenty of excitement for the day's activities. Early arrival is recommended, as access will close once the pool reaches maximum capacity.
Lifeguards and on-site security personnel will be present throughout the event to support a safe environment and ensure all guidelines are followed.
Mayfest promises an upbeat blend of music, water fun, and community engagement-offering teens an unforgettable way to launch their summer break.
