Electrical Maintenance on I-95 in Bridgeport Fairfield and Stratford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that electrical maintenance will be performed on I-95 between Exits 31-24 in Bridgeport. This project is scheduled to occur on Friday, May 15 and be completed on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Permit 3027656 consists of electrical maintenance over I-95 in Bridgeport.

This project is being performed by United Illuminating.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

There will be various lane closures along with rolling roadblocks on Route 8 southbound from Exit 2 B to the I-95 merge and I-95 north and southbound between Exits 31-24 in Bridgeport, Fairfield, and Stratford from Friday, May 15 to Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic control signing patterns State Troopers, and Crash Units will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
