Schiff, a longtime supporter of the project, has delivered more than $8 million in federal funding to support construction of the new terminal
Burbank, CA - U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) celebrated the opening of the newly minted Hollywood Burbank Airport terminal during a ribbon cutting ceremony today.
Schiff, a long-time Burbank resident who represented the region for more than 20 years in the U.S. House of Representatives, delivered more than $8 million dollars in federal funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to support the development of this project.
"This project is a testament to how we can work together to transform our local infrastructure, create more jobs, strengthen our transportation system, and boost our local economies," said Senator Schiff. "Over 6 million people travel in and out of this airport every year, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact that this project will leave on communities and for travelers, and a local economic boost that we will see as a result of this reopening and for decades to come."
