PITTSBURGH (May 1, 2026) - Allegheny Health Network's (AHN) Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute today celebrated the opening of its new offices at the AHN Federal North building, located at 1307 Federal St., Pittsburgh, 15212.
The relocation from its previous home at Four Allegheny Center, where the Institute served the community for over 30 years, marks a new chapter in delivering advanced, high quality behavioral healthcare to the Western Pennsylvania community.
The offices, spanning 10,000 square feet on the third floor of the Federal North building, are designed to offer an enhanced, integrated care experience for patients. The new location houses unique and specialized services and programs offered by AHN, including the AHN Center for Psychiatric Neuromodulation, the AHN Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents, and the Center for Adult Anxiety Disorders and OCD, providing advanced and specialized care options for complex mental health conditions.
This strategic move embeds behavioral health services within a robust hub of comprehensive health care already present at Federal North, including orthopedics, women's health, urology, physical therapy, pediatrics, primary care, addiction medicine, and laboratory testing. This co-location streamlines access to a broader spectrum of care, fostering a holistic approach to patient well-being.
The facility features newly designed office spaces for the more than 50 clinicians who will work out of the new space, creating a modern and comfortable environment for both providers and patients. Additionally, pediatric patients will benefit from a new Austin's Playroom, generously donated by the Mario Lemieux Foundation, ensuring a welcoming and comforting environment for younger children and their families.
"This move represents our commitment to providing the highest quality behavioral healthcare in a setting that prioritizes patient convenience and integrated care," said Alejandro Garcia Montijo, vice president, Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute. "After three decades at Four Allegheny Center, we are excited to embrace this new chapter, which allows us to further our mission of supporting the mental and emotional well-being of our community with improved facilities and access to a wider range of services."
In 2025, Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute providers across Western Pennsylvania saw nearly 60,000 patients, both in-person and through virtual visits.
The Federal North location will serve as the main hub for the Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute. The institute also operates eight traditional outpatient locations across Western Pennsylvania, and several satellite locations with health psychologists embedded in medical clinics. Additionally, through the AHN Chill Project, behavioral health specialists and educators work in 50 K-12 schools and six postsecondary schools across Western Pennsylvania.
"The relocation to Federal North is a testament to our ongoing efforts to innovate and adapt to the evolving needs of our patients," said Anthony Mannarino, PhD, chair, AHN Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute. "By integrating our services within a comprehensive healthcare environment and offering specialized programs like those at the Center for Psychiatric Neuromodulation, we are better positioned to deliver truly coordinated care, addressing both the behavioral and physical health needs of those we serve."
The first patients will be seen at the new Federal North location beginning May 11. To schedule an appointment, patients can call (412) 330-4429. Appointment lines are open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
