Chubbuck - The City of Chubbuck, Chubbuck Police Department, and the Idaho Transportation Department are working together as the community prepares to welcome Raising Cane's for its grand opening Tuesday at the corner of Yellowstone Avenue (U.S. Highway 91) and Bullock Street.
The agencies have been coordinating ahead of the opening on plans to help keep traffic moving smoothly along this busy stretch of US-91. Raising Cane's is one of the most anticipated restaurant arrivals our area has seen in quite some time with a devoted fan base that tends to show up in a big way for new locations.
"We are excited to welcome Raising Cane's to our community and anticipate increased traffic volumes during the grand opening. While we cannot predict exact customer behaviors, our Public Works and Police Departments are prepared to assist Raising Cane's in mitigating impacts, and we ask everyone to please be patient during this period," Mayor Burch said.
The agencies will be monitoring traffic to ensure that any lines do not back up onto US-91 or block access to surrounding businesses. Temporary traffic control will be set up so that drivers may only turn right into Raising Cane's parking lot from Bullock Street with no left turns allowed from Bullock. Fan should plan to access Raising Cane's from Hurley Drive and not US-91.
Whether heading to Raising Cane's next week or just passing through, the agencies are working together to ensure drivers have a safe and stress-free experience.
Here are a few reminders for Chubbuck drivers next week:
The City of Chubbuck, Chubbuck PD officers, and ITD will be keeping an eye on conditions and will be ready to respond as needed.
