PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to reinforce its commitment to fostering community economic independence through strategic partnerships with cooperatives in the company's business processes.

This commitment was realized through the inauguration of the PT TIMAH Tbk Fostered Cooperative Service Office, which is now ready to operate as a center for business activities and institutional capacity building for cooperatives.

The cooperative service office, located at Jalan Hamidah No. 10, Batin Tikal Sub-district, Taman Sari District, Pangkalpinang City, serves as an integrated service hub that helps cooperatives complete administrative and technical requirements necessary to partner with PT TIMAH Tbk.

The inauguration of the PT TIMAH Tbk Fostered Cooperative Service Office was attended by PT TIMAH Tbk President Director Restu Widiyantoro, Director of Finance and Risk Management Fina Eliani, Acting Head of the Cooperatives and MSMEs Office of Bangka Belitung Islands Province Ari Primajaya, Licensing Services Coordinator of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office Hardian, representatives from the Energy and Mineral Resources Office including Firdaus, and representatives from dozens of PT TIMAH Tbk fostered cooperatives.

In addition to inaugurating the service office, PT TIMAH Tbk also provided cooperative development assistance, symbolically handed over to eight cooperatives in its operational areas, along with the signing of an integrity pact for fostered cooperatives.

PT TIMAH Tbk President Director Restu Widiyantoro stated that the inauguration of the service office is a concrete step by the company to optimize the role of cooperatives as community business partners, particularly in supporting better and more transparent mining partnership governance while delivering economic benefits to the community in line with the company's mission, "Tin for the People."

Restu explained that seven cooperatives have currently partnered with PT TIMAH Tbk, and he hopes more cooperatives will join in the future to expand economic impact for local communities.

"The empowerment and involvement of cooperatives in the company's business processes align with the national program promoted by President Prabowo. Even in the book 'Transforming Indonesia,' it is stated that cooperatives can operate on a large and global scale. Of course, we want our cooperatives here to be empowered and able to contribute to community welfare," he said.

He emphasized that cooperatives are established to improve the welfare of their members. Therefore, PT TIMAH Tbk will continue to build strategic partnerships with cooperatives and hopes to see increasing participation.

"Cooperatives are established for the collective benefit of their members. The company will therefore position cooperatives as strategic partners in conducting business processes. With this service office, we hope that more cooperatives will be able to partner with PT TIMAH Tbk," he added.

Acting Head of the Cooperatives and MSMEs Office of Bangka Belitung, Ari Primajaya, stated that this initiative is not merely ceremonial but a monumental step in strengthening strategic partnerships between a state-owned mining enterprise and the backbone of the people's economy-cooperatives.

"The presence of this Cooperative Service Office is a concrete answer to these needs. It is a brilliant breakthrough that deserves appreciation. It is not just a symbol but a one-stop service center that will facilitate, streamline, and enhance the partnership processes between cooperatives and PT TIMAH Tbk," he said.

He hopes the office will simplify bureaucracy, allowing administrative processes, verification, proposal submission, and pre-partnership development to be handled in one place. This will reduce time and cost, improving efficiency.

"This office can serve as the starting point for cooperative development. PT TIMAH Tbk can provide technical assistance, management training, and socialization of operational standards for potential cooperative partners, thereby improving their quality and competitiveness," he added.

In addition, the office supports transparency and accountability while strengthening the partnership ecosystem. Its existence contributes to building a healthy and mutually beneficial partnership environment. Cooperatives gain business access and development support, while PT TIMAH gains strong and reliable local partners, ultimately boosting regional economic growth and creating a broad multiplier effect.

"Thank you to PT TIMAH Tbk for its commitment and dedication to developing cooperatives in Bangka Belitung. This is a substantive form of corporate social responsibility-not merely giving fish, but providing the fishing rod and teaching how to fish. To the administrators and supervisors of cooperating partners across Bangka Belitung, make good use of this golden opportunity. Treat this service office as a second home for learning, consultation, and building more professional partnerships. Continue to improve management quality, transparency, and business innovation, and prove that cooperatives are reliable strategic partners," he said.

"We from the Cooperatives and MSMEs Office of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province are ready to synergize and fully support the operation of this service office. We will continue to encourage potential cooperatives to engage and make use of these facilities," he added.

Sony Ropianto, Chairman of the Merah Putih Mantung Cooperative in Belinyu District, said that the cooperative service office has made it easier for them to meet administrative requirements needed to become a partner of PT TIMAH Tbk.

"We are currently preparing to update our business classification (KBLI) to be able to carry out mining activities. With this service office, we no longer feel confused about where to seek consultation or what requirements we must meet to partner with PT TIMAH Tbk. This is very helpful, especially since everything is centralized," he said.

Similarly, Iman Qolbi, Chairman of the Merah Putih Cooperative in Rias Village, Toboali District, said that the integrated services make it easier for them to obtain information and services needed for their village cooperative to become a PT TIMAH Tbk partner.

"This certainly makes things easier for us. We feel less confused and more motivated to complete the administrative requirements so that we can establish a partnership with PT TIMAH Tbk, especially since our area has great tin potential," he concluded. (*)
