University of Toledo faculty will share expert insights into international relations in a free, public lecture series beginning this week at the Toledo Lucas County Public Library.
Understanding the World, presented by the Toledo Library and UToledo's Judith Herb College of Arts, Social Sciences and Education, aims to explore international events that are transforming our world, from power and politics to conflict and culture.
The series encompasses three lectures through August. Each takes place from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Meeting Room 1 on the first floor of the Main Library at 325 N. Michigan St., Toledo.

• Thursday, July 23: Dr. Joel Voss, an associate professor of political science, will examine how international law influences modern conflicts and offer insights into the legal and political frameworks that affect nations and individuals around the world in "International Law and War."
