Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs accompanies the Prime Minister to a royal audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam on the sidelines of the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit in Kazan

On 17 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, accompanied H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, to a royal audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam on the sidelines of the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit to celebrate the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations in Kazan, Russian Federation, during 17-18 June 2026.

The Prime Minister congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen, who was also present, on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, and welcomed the close relations between Thailand and Brunei Darussalam. Both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in trade and investment as well as exchange of high-level visits and potential cooperation in the fields of medical tourism, food and energy security.
