New Castle County - I-95 and Route 896 Interchange - Upcoming Closures

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) alerts motorists that there will be overnight lane closures on northbound and southbound I-95 from the service plaza to the toll plaza, and daytime and overnight ramp closures/lane shifts on Route 896 at I-95 for milling, paving, and concrete sealing. All work is weather permitting.

SCHEDULE & LOCATIONS
I-95 northbound from Route 896 to the Service Plaza
October 19 from 6:00 PM to October 20 at 7:00 AM - single lane closure
October 21 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM - single lane closure

I-95 southbound from Route 896 to the Toll Plaza
October 22 - multi-lane closures (single 7:00 PM; double 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM), southbound high-speed E-ZPass lanes will also be closed.

Route 896 Southbound on ramp to I-95 Northbound
October 20 from 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM. Detour will be posted, please see attached.

I-95 southbound off ramp to Route 896 northbound
October 19 and 20 from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

I-95 southbound off ramp to Route 896 southbound
October 21 and 22 from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
