Crime Map and Updates

Welcome to our crime map. You can search by address, date range, case number, or specific crime type. The map includes serious felony crimes, vehicle prowls, thefts (except shoplifting), and arrests beginning in Nov. 2020. Click on icons for more detail. Addresses listed are rounded to the hundred block. For a complete list of case reports, visit olympiawa.gov/p2c.

Notable Trends

  • Three aggravated assaults reported this week with arrests in two cases and one an open investigation. In one arrest, a patient grabbed a nurse inappropriately. In the other case, the suspect fought with officers during his arrest and kicked one of the officers. He was also arrested for theft and commercial burglary after entering and stealing from a secured area.
  • There were five other commercial burglaries. In two cases with arrests, the suspects returned to stores they were previously trespassed from and stole alcohol. In another case, the suspect cut the fence around a construction zone and stole wood. It was located nearby. Someone ripped wood securing a door off another building. No one was located during the building search. A witness reported seeing two people going into another business after hours. There was no apparent forced entry, but the front door was unsecured. The building was cleared and no one found inside.
  • Two auto thefts reported this week. A 2001 Honda CRV was recovered by Thurston County Sheriff's Office. A motorcycle was stolen and located by the victim in another area of Olympia.
  • Three rapes reported that are all open investigations. The victims knew the suspects in two cases, and one was a SAE Kit picked up from the hospital.
  • One robbery reported that is an open investigation.
  • The residential burglary reported was a violation of a no contact order. The suspect entered the home through a hidden unsecured entry and then changed all the locks.

Other Items

  • Officers responded to 1,061 calls for service this week.
  • October is Pedestrian Safety Month. Drivers, please stop for pedestrians at marked and unmarked crosswalks. Follow the speed limit, especially in school zones. Slower speeds increase your cone of vision and make it easier to see pedestrians waiting to cross.
  • Costume with a Cop is back! We know there are tons of Trunk or Treats and hope you can swing by to see us on Friday, Oct. 30 at Starbucks on College Street and Pacific Ave in Lacey. We'll be there from 5 to 7 p.m. with candy galore.
  • This week's photo is a throwback to a 2025 Trunk or Treat.
