Free for CISOs, risk managers and insurance buyers, the one-day event offers a rare look at where the cyber market is changing as years of falling prices show signs of turning.
MILWAUKEE - October 8, 2026 - Zywave, a leading technology provider for insurance distribution, today announced its Zywave Horizon: Cyber Risk NYC conference will take place Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. Now in its 15th year, this one-day event gives CISOs, risk managers and full-time insurance buyers a rare opportunity, free of charge, to discuss market dynamics, product innovation and customer expectations with their colleagues, competitors and insurance partners.
The timing of this year's event couldn't be more crucial. In the U.S., cyber pricing has decreased for more than three years. Signs now point to a shift away from rate softening and, in some cases, moderate increases. Buyers who understand what is driving that change and anticipate what comes next can build insurance programs that stand up to risk.
Julie Wood, Chief Executive Officer of QBE North America, will open the event with her keynote, "Writing the Next Chapter: A CEO Perspective on Cyber Market Growth and Resilience." Drawing on more than 20 years of insurance industry leadership, Wood will explore how insurers can position themselves for sustainable growth as cyber insurance matures. Her remarks will address changing customer expectations, distribution, capital allocation, systemic risk and emerging technologies.
What's on the agenda
With 27 sponsors helping to make possible this unique industry-wide forum, the one-day program is organized around three tracks: risk mitigation, risk transfer and distribution, and risk consequences. Sixty speakers from organizations including IBM, Travelers, Brown & Brown, and Kroll will take the stage across 14 sessions, offering CISOs, risk managers, carriers, and brokers a chance for a neutral, non-partisan exchange.
In addition to the opening keynote, highlights include:
"This is the one day of the year when buyers, brokers, carriers and security leaders can compare notes in a neutral setting, with no renewal looming," said Jeff Cohen, Senior Vice President, Industry Relations, Zywave. "With the market starting to shift after years of falling prices, it's the right moment to understand what's driving that change in cyber risk and what's ahead."
