Dolly Parton's Former L.A. Home Listed For The First Time In 25 Years At $7.95 Million

Dolly Parton 's former L.A. home is on the market for the first time in more than two decades. It's listed at nearly $8 million.

The stunning Hollywood Hills dwelling, built in 1977 and "rebuilt" in 2009, spans more than 4,600 square feet. Property records show that Parton and her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, bought the home for $750,00 in 1985, according to a report earlier this week by Realtor.com. The couple sold it five years later for $1.2 million. A few homeowners have lived there since the beloved country legend owned it with her husband, and it was last on the market 25 years ago, the report states. The home features "voluminous high ceilings with custom finishes and built-ins throughout," plus city and ocean views. Realtor.com also states that the gated property is located a the end of a cul-de-sac with a "resort like atmosphere," a cozy fireplaces, a library and media room, a pool, and other amenities.

Parton "died peacefully" on August 25 in Nashville, Tennessee, according to an official announcement issued at that time. She was 80. Representatives for Parton said in a statement to PEOPLE that day, "after bravely facing a brief battle with cancer, Dolly departed her Earthly life today at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center surrounded by loved ones." Parton was laid to rest beside Dean, who died in March 2025. He was 82.
