Registration open for 2025 Alaska Invasive Species Workshop

The 2025 Alaska Invasive Species Workshop, a forum for land and invasive species managers and scientists to discuss current issues, will be held Oct. 28-30 in Anchorage.
The workshop is a collaboration of the Alaska Invasive Species Partnership and the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service.
The workshop offers expert presentations about emerging invasive species science and management issues, highlights outreach efforts and offers training for new and experienced invasive species managers. Topics include elodea, knotweeds, European green crabs, northern pike and invasive chokecherries.
This year's theme is "Invasive Species at a Crossroads: Challenges, Choices, Changes."
Sessions will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the Clarion Suites Downtown, 1110 W. 8th Ave., Anchorage. In-person and virtual options are offered. The in-person cost is $160, and registration for the virtual option is $60. Zoom links will be available in October.
