Dundee Avenue Reconstruction Project Underway

Reconstruction of Dundee Avenue, between Enterprise Street and Slade Avenue, is now underway following the completion of utility relocation work.

Contractors began installing traffic control devices and changeable message signs, as well as setting up a temporary traffic signal at the intersection of Slade and Dundee avenues on Monday.

The project includes a full roadway reconstruction to accommodate four 11-foot-wide lanes. New six-foot-wide sidewalks and ADA-compliant ramp upgrades will improve accessibility. Additional infrastructure improvements include a new storm sewer, replacement of existing curbs and gutters, water main and water service line construction, and sanitary sewer lining. Additional features will include enhanced street lighting and new traffic signals at Slade Avenue to improve safety and visibility. The project is slated to be complete in October 2026.

The roadway improvements will require temporary traffic pattern changes. Northbound Dundee Avenue will remain open throughout the project, while southbound traffic will be rerouted during a portion of the work.
