The Department of Treaty and Law of the Foreign Ministry and the Department of Justice of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Hold Annual Consultation[...]

On May 7, 2026, Director-General of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Foreign Ministry Qi Dahai and Secretary for Justice of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Paul Lam Ting-kwok held the annual consultation on Hong Kong-related diplomatic treaty and law work in the Hong Kong SAR. Relevant officials of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region attended the consultation.

The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on supporting the Hong Kong SAR to conduct cooperation with international legal bodies, deepening external legal exchanges and cooperation, and participating in the development of the national rule of law concerning foreign affairs.
