PMA issues Request for Bids under the EPA Clean Ports’s Program

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (July, 2026)-The Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) has issued a Request for Bids (RFB) for a zero-emission battery-electric yard tractor that will support PMA's workforce training program for longshore workers at the Port of Oakland.

This opportunity was made possible through the EPA's Clean Ports Program grant, awarded to the Port of Oakland with PMA as a subgrantee. As a project partner, PMA is proud to support the Port's efforts in transitioning to zero-emission operations while advancing longshore workforce training.

Through partnerships like these, PMA continues its commitment to meeting the challenges of an evolving maritime industry while supporting sustainability and modernization.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the EPA and the Port of Oakland for their partnership and collaboration in making this project possible.
