Southbound I-5/SR-52 Connectors Closed tonight June 30

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans will close the southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) connector to eastbound State Route 52 (SR-52) and westbound SR-52 connector to southbound I-5 on Tuesday, June 30, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.

Southbound I-5 motorists will be detoured by using the off-ramp at Clairemont Drive, then turn left onto Clairemont Drive, turn left onto northbound I-5, then use the northbound I-5 connector to eastbound SR-52.

Westbound SR-52 motorists will be detoured using westbound SR-52 to the northbound I-5 connector, use the off-ramp at Gilman Drive, turn left on Gilman Drive, and then use the on-ramp for southbound I-5.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
