Chairman Boozman Leads Ag Committee in Moving USDA Nominees Forward

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Chairman John Boozman (R-AR) led the committee in advancing the U.S. Department of Agriculture nominations of Dr. Mindy Brashears to serve as Under Secretary of Food Safety, Representative Stella Yvette Herrell to serve as Assistant Secretary of Agriculture for Congressional Affairs and External Relations, and John Walk to serve as Inspector General of the Department of Agriculture.

"These nominees will play important roles in ensuring USDA's programs effectively serve farmers and ranchers while operating efficiently. I'm pleased the committee quickly advanced these nominations and urge the Senate to confirm them without delay," Boozman said.
