DGA Statement on Governor-Elect Rob Sand's Victory in Iowa

DGA Chair Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear released the following statement on Rob Sand being elected the next governor of the state of Iowa:

"Congratulations to Rob Sand on being elected the next governor of Iowa. After years of one-party rule, Rob's remarkable win marks the first time a Democrat has been elected governor in Iowa in 20 years, and he is ready to bring the change Iowans deserve. As State Auditor and a prosecutor, Rob has been an aggressive watchdog for taxpayers and has always stayed focused on listening and bringing people together - even holding 100 town halls year after year. He is going to bring that same independent leadership and accountability back to the governor's office, working with anyone to end corruption, lower costs, and tackle Iowa's cancer crisis. The DGA is excited to continue working with Governor-elect Sand and looks forward to seeing him deliver change that makes life better for people in Iowa."

The DGA invested $11 million in Iowa this year.
