City of Montgomery Announces Youth Writing Workshop Focused on Success and Well‑Being
Montgomery, AL - The City of Montgomery, in partnership with community organizations and the Montgomery City-County Public Library, is pleased to announce, "Writing for Success and Well-Being," an empowering and creative youth workshop taking place Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Rufus A. Lewis Regional Library.
Designed for youth ages 8-17, this scholarship-essay and journaling workshop will help participants discover writing as a powerful tool for self-expression, healing, and future achievement. Attendees will also learn practical tips for crafting strong scholarship essays and building confidence in their written voice.

• Time: 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (Check-in begins at 9:15 a.m.)
• Location: Rufus A. Lewis Regional Library, 3095 Mobile Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36108
Attendance is limited to 25 participants, and early registration is strongly encouraged to secure a spot.
The workshop is co-hosted by a coalition of local partners dedicated to supporting youth development, education, and community well-being.
