Congressman Morgan McGarvey on Supreme Court Trans Athlete Ruling

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 30, 2026) - Today, Congressman Morgan McGarvey released the following statement after the Supreme Court ruled in West Virginia v. BPJ and Little v. Hecox to allow states to ban transgender students from playing on youth sports teams:

"The Trump administration has gone out of its way to make life even harder for a couple of kids in Kentucky who already have it hard enough. Meanwhile, 15,000 Kentuckians already lost Medicaid this year because of how much costs have gone up and more than a thousand patients at Lee Specialty Clinic in Louisville are worried about losing their care.

"Republicans are hoping they can distract us from the damage they've done to our communities, but we're not going to let them."
