Visitors planning September trips to the Manitou Incline Trail or Pikes Peak - America's Mountain should be aware of upcoming changes that may affect their plans. The Manitou Incline will temporarily close for several September events, while Pikes Peak - America's Mountain has updated its operating hours for the remainder of September ahead of its seasonal hours change Oct. 1.
The Manitou Incline Trail will be closed until 9 a.m. Sept. 11 for the 9/11 Memorial Climb.
The Manitou Incline Trail will be closed until noon Sept. 19 for the Pikes Peak Ascent.
Due to weather uncertainty and safety precautions, the summit of Pikes Peak - America's Mountain will be closed to highway visitors, including Pikes Peak Ascent spectators, until 1 p.m. Guests can make reservations to drive to the summit for 1 p.m. or later. The North Slope Recreation Area will open at 7:30 a.m. Learn more at DrivePikesPeak.com.
The Manitou Incline Trail will be closed all day Sept. 20 for the Pikes Peak Marathon. Pikes Peak - America's Mountain will not be impacted by the marathon.

Pikes Peak - America's Mountain has updated its operating hours for the remainder of September. The uphill gate closes at 5 p.m., the summit closes at 6 p.m. and the downhill gate closes at 7 p.m.
