82% of Team Members Say It's a Great Place to Work Compared to 57% at Typical U.S. Company
Pye-Barker Fire & Safety - the largest fully integrated and full-service fire protection, life safety and security services provider in the United States - has been Certified as a Great Place To Work® for the second year in a row. The prestigious award is based entirely on what current team members say about their experience working at Pye-Barker. This year, 82% of Pye-Barker employees in a survey said the company is a great place to work- 25 points higher than the average U.S. company, where the typical figure is 57%, according to Great Place To Work research.
"We work hard every day to make sure our team members feel Pye-Barker is a great place to work," said Rebecca True, chief human resources officer, Pye-Barker Fire & Safety. "Together, we've built a culture centered on protecting lives, property and businesses while investing in career growth, recognizing strong performance and empowering our local teams to serve their communities with excellence. This certification reflects that commitment, and it belongs to each of our team members who makes it real every day."

Caring for its people is foundational to Pye-Barker, and the company has made intentional investments that provide both immediate support and long-term opportunity for team members. Continued career growth, from role-specific skills training to leadership development, are central to the company's commitment to each individual. In 2025, Pye-Barker launched the ALL In employee ownership plan, granting significant awards to every eligible full-time team member at no cost to them. The ALL In (Achieving Lasting Legacy Incentive) award is a future bonus tied to the company's growth, making Pye-Barker the largest company in the fire and life safety industry powered by employee ownership.
The company established the Pye-Barker Safety Net Fund to provide financial assistance to team members facing unexpected hardship or recovering from natural disasters. This year, it has provided support to more than 80 team members dealing with illness, winter storms and other times of crisis.
Pye-Barker's commitment extends beyond its own workforce through its "What Matters" giving platform, which supports its people, communities and fellow protectors. The company partnered with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to sponsor a Staff Ride in Charleston, South Carolina, and teamed up with seven-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson on the Helmet of Heroes tribute at the DAYTONA 500, honoring America's fallen firefighters and raising funds for firefighter families and advancing firefighter safety.
