Engineering Impact: Abigail Garver’s Story

Abigail Garver, a Project Engineer at our Hopewell site, first joined AdvanSix while she was still in school. "One of my friends worked here. They told me that they loved it here-he's like, "You have to come work here," she shared.

Today, Abigail focuses on replacing and upgrading onsite machinery to help keep operations at our Hopewell facility safe, stable and sustainable. It's work she loves, not just for the technical challenge, but for the people she gets to do it with.

"I think what attracts people to AdvanSix is the people," she says. "Everyone here is super friendly. We're a tight-knit community, and we celebrate each other's successes."

Like Abigail, many talented STEM professionals come to AdvanSix to be part of something bigger - to contribute to products that impact millions of lives around the world.

"What we make is essential for supply chains in food, agriculture, paint and carpet," Abigail explains. "Everything we do here might seem small or niche, but it all plays a much bigger role in everyday life."

From turning nylon resins into food packaging, fertilizer into fresh fruits and veggies and chemicals that clean water tanks, what may seem like innocuous outputs to many are the very foundation of products people around the globe rely on-and they're all made at AdvanSix.
